What Are We?

What are we?
We’re not just our names—we’re something more. Our identity reaches far beyond what we can imagine. Our names, our religion, our nationality, even the expectations placed upon our future—none of these were chosen by us.
They were decided the moment we were born, yet we rarely stop to realize that none of these decisions were truly ours. We spend most of our lives carrying the weight of choices made by others. We’re not merely the sum of other people’s expectations.
What are we?
We’re not what we wear. We’re not what we eat. We’re not where we live, nor the language we speak. We are something deeper. Our existence lies beyond the physical.
This flesh, these bones, this blood—none of them are truly us. They’re only some tools through which we experience this world. We use this body, but we are not the body itself. If we were, our bodies would also disappear with our death.
What are we?
Perhaps we’re far more than we can ever imagine.
