Fragments of an Ordinary Mind

The Unexpected Reel

July 16, 2026, 10:30 AM (GMT+6)

I never post videos on social media. I’ve never felt comfortable talking to a camera or posing in front of one. But today, I uploaded my very first video, and somehow it ended up getting thousands of views.

My study routine isn’t particularly strict, but my parents certainly are. Because of that, I rarely get the chance to watch FIFA World Cup matches. I don’t even have my own phone—I use my mom’s.

Today at 1 AM, Argentina faced England in the World Cup semi-final. From around the 80-th minute onward, Argentina began an incredible comeback and eventually secured the win.

After the match, I went to YouTube, found a short edited clip, downloaded it, and uploaded it to my Facebook profile. I don’t know if that was technically illegal, but I assume it wasn’t.

As I’m writing this, the video has reached 16K views in just five hours. I know that’s not a huge number by social media standards, but for someone who’s never really posted a reel before, it means a lot. Seeing those numbers on my first upload feels strangely exciting.

Well... yeah, I did steal the video. ( -_- )
