The Power of a Smile

June 20, 2026, 8:10 PM (GMT+6)

I try to stay happy no matter what the situation is—to remain calm even in the middle of chaos. People often think I’m the odd one, the crazy one, the fool who doesn’t quite fit into their neat version of society. But why should I care? Most of them aren’t happy with their own lives anyway; they’re drowning in miseries of their own.

People who can laugh at anything aren’t as crazy as we assume. Laughing at the world isn’t madness—I think it’s a form of strength. It means being able to keep control over your emotions, even when life tries to shake you. Laughter isn’t always disrespect; sometimes it’s proof that you are stronger than those who crumble at the slightest hardship.

Smiling in the face of misery doesn’t make you heartless—it can mean you’re strong enough to endure life without falling apart. Smiling at a funeral doesn’t make you insane—it can mean you’re wise enough to accept the unbearable, but universal truth of death. Even if people see it as offensive, some are still able to soften grief, nightmares, and dark memories with nothing more than a faint smile on their lips.
