Fragments of an Ordinary Mind

The Noise Inside My Mind

July 27, 2026, 12:10 AM (GMT+6)

I see a blank page... yeah, a blank white page covered in random scribbles of ink. Every letter, every word, every sentence—they all lose their meaning the moment they reach my eyes. They seem to dance around, mocking me.

“You’re stupid. You won’t understand any of this. You’ll never be a good son. You’ll never make your parents happy.”

I can’t focus on anything anymore. Not a single subject stays in my mind. Even my favorite subject, mathematics, is starting to feel like a burden. I simply can’t concentrate. Instead, my mind fills with the sound of my parents yelling at my results.

“There are girls out there getting better grades than you. Why can’t you? We’re sacrificing so much for you, and you’re still not studying? Either get good grades or become a farmer in the village!”

How am I supposed to focus when all I hear is that yelling, when all I see is disappointment? How am I supposed to remember the lines in my textbook when my mind is already drowning in noise every single moment?

How am I supposed to be like someone else’s child when I wasn’t born from their mother’s womb? And even if I had been, how could I possibly have the exact same qualities as another person?

We are two different individuals—two separate creations of God, two members of the same species, yet created for different purposes.
