The Longest 3 Minutes

I still can’t remember when I fell asleep yesterday. All I remember is that, for no reason, I lay down on my bed to rest for only three minutes and planned to finish my practical assignments afterward. But the moment I opened my eyes, I saw the mosquito net around me, and it was already morning.
My watch was lying beside my head as well. I don’t remember grabbing it before falling asleep. Maybe it was my mom—she knows I keep my watch beside me every day to check the time when I wake up.
It was probably 10 to 12 hours of sleep, judging by the exhaustion I felt throughout my body after waking up. My neck hurt from having both a pillow and a thick blanket bunched under my head. I don’t normally use them together as a pillow, of course—I was only taking a short rest (or at least that’s what I remember).
Then, after sitting up with a heavy body and a confused brain, I felt my right hand touch something. When I looked down, I realized it was my glasses, and the hinges were bended so badly.
Since I was only meant to be “taking a rest”, I never took my glasses off. And now, I’m still figuring out how to repair them. I guess I’m lucky the lenses didn’t break—things could have gone a lot worse.
