There are mainly two perspectives when it comes to the future of artificial intelligence (AI):

1. AI Optimists: Those who believe AI will transform the world, bringing a revolution greater than anything computers or the internet have ever created.
2. AI Pessimists: Those who fear AI could eventually take control of humanity, replace millions of jobs, drive people into financial ruin, and ultimately lead to mankind’s downfall.

I actually believe both perspectives. The difference is that the second isn’t guaranteed—we simply don’t know whether AI will one day take over the world. It might happen, or it might not. After all, nothing is completely impossible.

But the first one? I don’t think there’s any debate about that anymore. It’s already happening. AI is changing the world right in front of us, and we’re living through it without even realizing how extraordinary it is.

I wanna talk about the people in the second category:

I’ve noticed that many people who constantly criticize AI—saying that it will take away our job opportunities or make humans more robotic—often have very little understanding of how artificial intelligence actually works. Some of them have never even used an AI assistant properly or learned how to communicate with chatbots effectively.

If you don’t even have a proper understanding of something, how can you confidently speak against it in the first place?

I don’t totally blame these people. Many of them never had the chance to experience AI from an early age—because this technology simply didn’t exist back then. So, to them, AI feels like a sudden and unfamiliar change. They see it as something dangerous—something that is taking away human value and ruining lives.

Most people hate what they don’t understand, and fear what they’ve never seen before.

When computers were first invented, people had the same fears. They believed computers would take away human jobs and leave people struggling to survive.

But standing here today, can you honestly say that computers have done nothing for the world? Can you really argue that computers have caused more harm than the countless ways they’ve improved our lives?

The same technology that once frightened people eventually became the foundation of modern life. Perhaps AI will be no different.
