Fragments of an Ordinary Mind

Pretending To Be Fine

June 18, 2026, 7:10 AM (GMT+6)

Sometimes I just stare into blankness—focusing on whatever is in front of me until it slowly fades away. My mind wanders to a different world. I try to think of a way to escape all my problems, but I can’t. Somehow, they always find their way back into my thoughts.

I tell everyone that I’m happy and that I have no problems in life. No girlfriend, no hanging out with friends, no caring about what other people think of me, no plans of ever getting married—just living a peaceful life on my own. But sometimes I feel like I’ve been lying—not just to others, but to myself as well.
