Not Born to Repay

July 25, 2026, 8:10 PM (GMT+6)

How can a father spend his entire life working from dawn to dusk, sweating and groaning through every hardship, only to reach old age and rely on his son’s earnings, instead of having a life of his own?

How can a father spend every penny he has on his son’s future, only to expect something in return? Then, when his son leaves him in his time of distress, how can the father say that it’s entirely the son’s fault?

It may be the son’s fault, but… the possibility of this happening was present from the very beginning—from the moment the child was born.

So why didn’t the father prepare for this possibility? How could he place his entire future in his son’s hands—relying on his son’s help, his son’s money—when he already knew that his son was a separate person who could choose a different path in life?

As a man, you should never build your entire future around another person. Earn for yourself, live with your own money, and nurture your children simply because they are your children. Never raise them with the expectation that they owe you something in return.
