Fragments of an Ordinary Mind

Dear Butterfly

July 28, 2026, 11:20 PM (GMT+6)

Dear Butterfly!
you fly and fly,
you go high up high.
With the swifts of your wings,
you bless your nearby.

oh, my butterfly!
Every leaf you land,
every flower you kiss.
I spread my little hand,
for the blessing I miss.

For the beauty you bear,
for the charm you show,
please, my dear butterfly,
may I have a little share?

You shine in the bright,
and glow at night.
Even in the darkness,
your beauty needs no light.

Dear sweet butterfly!
Born from a cover,
how ugly it seemed.
Yet I’m your lover,
for the beauty you redeemed.

From evil comes an evil,
or so the people say.
But look how they all marvel,
as you gently bloom today!
