An Apology to Myself

July 28, 2026, 2:30 PM (GMT+6)

Dear me,

Lately, I’ve become afraid to look at you face to face—not because I fear you, but because I fear the moment when I have to ask for your forgiveness.

You may never forgive me for what I’ve done to you, for what I’ve kept doing. For how deeply I’ve hurt you, how painfully lonely I’ve made you feel, and how many cruel words I’ve thrown at you. I’m afraid that the wounds I caused are too deep for your forgiveness.

Every time I stand before you, I feel the urge to break the glass between us—not to destroy you, but to finally reach you. I want to fall at your feet and beg for your mercy. I want to hold you, kiss you, and promise that I’ll never abandon you again. I want to gather every broken piece of you and put them back together—even if I have to use my own tears as the glue.

You are my dear one... forever. You are my brother... my twin. How could I ignore you? How could I leave you behind? How could I ever try to destroy you?

Please forgive me for everything I’ve done to you.
